Thats quite a distance for a 50cc scooter, it will make it im sure, could probably do Amsterdam and back on a 50 but its gonna be flat out most of the way.

I rode my zip from london to brighton twice, and it felt unsafe riding full throttle for miles and miles on end. Poor engine was coooking, thats probably why my drive belt was shreaded!

depends which way you go. you can get the ferry to hook of holland then amsterdam is only 80 miles from there.

or go the way i did 130 miles to dover ride through france belgium and into holland at another 250 miles to rotterdam and then the dam is another 80 miles haha

erm, just to avoid confusion... you need a FULL bike licence to drive in france/belgum/holland... so anyone wiht a 50 is prittymuch out of the picture..

as for riding a 50 flat out for hours, there desighned to do that.. stock de restricted 50 can run full throttle untill it runs out of fuel, give it 5 mins (filling up) and you can ride it again till its out of fuel.. you can keep doing this untill it needs a service.. then guess what, you jump back on it and ride it till its out of fuel. its called a try'd and tested road engine :)

getting a 70 wiht a pipe to do this isnt easy... (as piaggio have found getting there 50's to do it and return good fuel econimy) but it is possible.....

if an engines built right and not overly strained it can go flat out literally continuasly between regular service intervals... do you think the engine knows its sitting for weeks on end NOT running between your rides? makes no difference to the engine./.. if its gonna break its gonna break. stock engines are MADE to do exactly that.

as for the north run..... think ill give it a miss... its a meet for all the northerners who wont attend the decent runs/rally's all over the country the rest of the year..... oh and id probably end up rowing/slapping the owner of adrenaline, paul robbo and the entire staff of pm tunning!!!

Damn I Need to do my test, soon!

I wont be going to the north run either, probably not worth the ride.
Would rather ride to wales and ride along the country roads for the day.

Im hoping that my bike will be sorted to go on the North Run. Ive also noticed lots of 16yr olds are going on the north run but doesnt the north run lead on the motorway where u need full bike licence and a bike above 50cc lol ?

Same as southend ride, most riders will take the A roads anyway because motoways are BORING!! Nobody goes out for a drive along motoways for no reason, only police and the traffic wombals do that!
