That's terrible ! What is an oyster card ?
I just set up the scoot for the run tomorrow. Ended up with heavier rollers. It flies. It better had - it's a biker rally. My friend Sylvia is going on her Z 1100. Her boyfriend is taking his Yam 1400.....

Och - you just need some more horses. Any plans to get a bike ? One with gears and such ?

Cool Man! Want photos and a full report! I want a big mother too - and I'm on the case. But I will always have a little bit inside of me that yearns to play tag with a VFR750 on an MBK Ovetto- and the guy gives me a thumbs up after it's over. That's livin'!

Just got back from the run. The scoot acquitted itself wonderfully. Looked a bit out of place with about 100 bikers on café racers and Harleys, but once we got rolling there were smiles all round. Nice bunch of chaps. I dropped out after about an hour or so to get back home for some petrol. And a coffee.

In fact you're not too far wrong. Under 60 mph it was fairly close - though of course the big jap 4s are very fast - but the harleys/indians/CX500's etc ? No problem. I was far from the slowest thing in the group. There were some pretty bemused bikers ! But they were really cool. Definitely going to do that again - but with some spare petrol in the rucksack.

There's quite a lot of space under the seat - even with the airbox in there. I'll figure something out.....

I put a 38 slow jet in there - and the take off is better. But there is still no slow roll on. I'm going to have a play with the needle - and then ask Yoda for his opinion if that doesn't work. Could be the needle, could be the float valve. Could be a combination of both. But it ain't the carb angle or the admission pipe. But if you mash it - phreeeow ! Hold tight ! And top speed is seemingly limitless.......
Interestingly it likes it when the engine is 'loaded' - like going up a hill. So heavier rollers might be an idea too. That fact makes me wonder about the float valve.......

Right. Just went into the garage with the intention of slowing the needle valve. Ended up completely stripping the carb/ blasting it and replacing the rubber tubes that connect the big pipe from the box to the carb. The slow circuit had a hole that was blocked (i think) and the needle valve had a whole bunch of crap in there. I couldńt take it for a test because the scoot works on pre-mix, but I work on single malt- so the whole thing will probably need re-regulating tomorrow. But I think I found the reason.
Carbs do not work when full of shit.
    Where is it coming from?
