The Curse of the runner, returns.

This happened on the way home from work today going around a corner, probably 300 meters from my house.
Thankfully i wasn't going fast because all i felt was the back of the bike suddenly drop and the back end completely locking up and dragging it's entire arse along the road, i'll take more pics later .. if i don't take a big hammer to it.
the rear tyre is shredded but still useable, belt snapped and is hanging out of the casing somewhere. the exhaust is pretty much on the ground with everything now being so low but it didn't break! the rear shock looks like it's about to snap too

Fucking piece of shit, for those of you who don't have an idea of the utter shit i've had with this bike read my project page and you'll get the idea.

The casing seems to have broken in a strange place, it isn't even where i had i hairline crack on the casing, it seems really random but i'll see more when i strip it.

so yeah... the bike can go to hell.

 

i felt like crying when u said so on the phone ben... just think if you had ridden the sr home last night this would be my problem and not yours lol...why dont u buy abz's engine of egay then we can crack on with the deal...

your bike must have bolloxed engine bushes, shock or summat thats causing this... you the only one having this problem with runner casings and snapped a scorp like 5 times? lol

ben striping my runner i got hmmm around the £700 mark... and that was with fucked panels... fucked crank... not bad....your panels are mint i recon they will sell for at least £100 on egay....172 kit about £120...(see if its ported) must be some reason your runner is fast man... its to fast... frame u can push £100.... that an easy £300 i think u would be better of buying a engine like gaz said... someone me and gaz knows sells engines for £100....a small price to pay but they u can get £800 for it.... or gazs sr and £*** (dont wana tell people incase u to dont want me to

 

that guy aint got no more engines at the moment...it'd be easier for him to just buy another engine and get ride..its saves all the fuckin about imo..+ i love his runner lol..

 

u love it!! the power is shocking!! for just a 172 it was not far behind naybels 27bhp runner!!! i swear it must be ported or somthing!!it just pops up gaz! u would love it for wheeelies!

 

init lol..i took the sr for a blast on that car park today..and u can tell its easy to wheely..it feels good cos ur sat so high up..and its fuckin nippy for a 125

personaly if i had his bike i woundt have touched it... it was rapid as it is... and woudnt wana change it... the sr u know its standard gaz...u know its nippy already...be different and tune the sr up...

Can't make my mind up, at the moment I'm more in favor of rebuilding it, except there's fuck all on eBay at the moment ...

oh and the engine bushes aren't even 6 months old.

to sell it as it is i would probably lose out way to much.

 

init ben i wish i shoved another engine in my runner.... just my panels was shit.... had no stand hat actuly worked proper!! my temp sensor didnt work for fuck! just all little things made me think ohh fuck it strip it!! yours is mint... and fast.... redo the engine lol small price to pay but in the long run will be better..

i would rebuild it with liquid cooled cases not machined ac casing like last time lool
