In the uk, am I right in thinking that as I have a full car licence (from 2002) and passed my CBT in 2013, my CBT lasts for as long as my car licence as long as I stick to a 50cc? Anything higher then my CBT only lasts for 2 years? Basically when my CBT expires in 2015 I must either stick to a 50cc (max) or retake my CBT if I want a 125cc and higher?
Just found this - according to the government you only need to pass your CBT once to ride a 50cc for the duration of your car licence
1st February 2001,,,,,,,,,,,,,if you passed your car test after this date you need to take a cbt every two years states this in the document youve posted up mate
im now on training with my motorcycle instructor doing my full test so i can help out with CBT`s etc so learning the rules. if you passed your full UK car test before 1st february 2001 you automatically have a full moped licence and can ride a moped (50cc) that is restricted to 30mph. if you passed your full UK car test AFTER 1st february 2001 you MUST complete a CBT course to unlock the full moped licence. if you have passed the CBT after passing car test you have a full MOPED licence aslong as you have the certificate. this lasts the duration of your car licence. even if you passed before 1st february 2001 its advisable you complete a CBT course so that you are confident and safe on the road. but honestly its worth completing your full bike test so that you can ride a larger capacity bike.
to keep riding 125cc yeah you have to retake every two years but he was asking about 50cc and car lol
