In 2004 there was a big tyre test at a kart track, as many sets of tyres
were gathered together as possible, and then put through their paces.

when the test rider was happy that he could not lap the circuit any faster
on the std-fit Nankang tyres, the data was gathered from this session
and used as a bench mark from which the test tyres were going to be assesed.

It was a nice idea and the results are a good indicator for people uncertain of what tyre to buy.

Always front and rear pilot sports for me, the only french thing I'll buy...

yeah i must admit ive never heard a bad word about pilot sports :D

Thats what i would of liked myself but at the time i got quoted just over £50
    a tyre plus fitting :w00t:

so i went for my 2nd choice tyre which was £38 a tyre plus fitting :D

It's more fun ragging it in the wet, and knowing you have decent rubber, ML50's FTW.

that rider must of been a pussy, ML50's can corner so fierce they fuck runner mounts up, cause your engine casings to snap, and exhausts :pimp:

Nothing can handle ML50's they are just so amazing, THE FUTURE :p

    note: sarcasm.

I'm sure they should put a warning on them:

    NOT FOR USE (AT ALL)

In the dry they twitch, and in the wet they just slip and slide, its like riding a bicycle with just the rims and no tyres in my opinion. Great fun for rolling circle donuts! Get rid...

I've got Metzeler's on my Katana and even though they are like 5th/7th in the list I think they are very good tyres. Done me fine round corners and in the wet they are spot on, no twitches for me
