i would just like to say thanks to tweak who did a full engine rebuild for me earlier this week. i would recommend him to anyone because he has done a brilliant job and saved me alot of money compared to if i had taken it to a garage. him and his dad clearly know what their doing and there really nice fellars. THANKS TWEAK ;)

anyway, i started the running of my engine in on friday night and have done just over a 100 miles so far without going over 35mph and not really revving the bollocks off it. i can tell it has slackened quite a bit already.

it was quite suprising though when i got about only 50 miles to a full tank :w00t: i think it was because i did a 1 to 40 mixture first time round.

could anyone tell me roughly how many miles i should run it in for and is it normal for the bike to splutter quite a bit while im running it in?

running in is something everyone does differntly, if i were you know youve done over 100 miles once its warm give it a 5-10 sec full throttle every know and then to free it up a bit, might then stop spluttering

The spluttering is probably your plug fouling up!!

And yeah dont they feel crap when they are tight and bedding in :D

dont worry itll gradualiy get better and better ;)

right yer thanks for advice fellars, iv been for a run on it tonight wiv my mates and still havent gon over 35ish mph but i did rev it full throttle if from 20to30mph a bit thu but only now and then. i really need to downjet it though coz its drinking fuel like a fuckin V8 engine lol im gona stick a 86 jet in it coz i believe its a 94 now and i think this could be causing domr of the spluttering.

wearing in is shit boring though, my mates are finding it boring as well lol i also hate it when you get a chav corsa come up to us at the lights and they expect a race and im just like :emb: i cant go over 35mph
