tgb engine with 70cc kit not any faster

    does anyone know what i need to do i have put a 70cc kit on my moped it has a tgb engine not sure what one as it has been swapped into the moped by someone else but it is doing the same speed as with the 50cc kit on it any clues what i need to change ?

    Check your engine no.on the crankcase & carb.no. & go from there.;).

    its not the engine im having problems with mate its all running fine just wont go any faster than 35mph with a 70cc kit iv had a look and it might be the rollers

    what 70cc kit is it ? what exhaust are you using ?

    im using the Naraku 70 kit with the stock exhaust but its got holes drilled to un restrict it

    Firstly the naraku 70cc kit is one of the cheapest 70cc kits you can buy... its a very mild kit, and you dont get too much in the way of extra performance... however it should be doing a lot more than 35mph.

    A fully derestricted 50cc should do at least 45 mph, and thats without a 70cc kit.

    Drilling holes in the exhaust will not derestrict it im afraid, if all the restrictions are still in place in the exhaust. all you will achieve is a restricted exhaust with holes in it.

    That will be the reason why your scooter is only doing 35mph.

    so what do you recommend i do to get more speed out of it apart from the exhaust ill get a proper one when i have the cash tho and the only thing on the bike that is not stock is the cdi thats definitely a de restricted one

    change the exhaust to a derestricted one... and see where your at.

    once you have changed the exhaust you will need to upjet the carb too.

    alright cheers ill try that i need to up jet the carb anyways
