my temperature gauge on my 2002 runner 125sp dosent work [IMG]
i know it can only be the wiring/the actual gauge or the temp sensor in the skull cap,

how can i test the temp sender/sensor in the skull cap?

i know if its the single pin sensor you just need to disconnect the wire to the sensor and ground it but i have the 2 pronged sensor with 2 wires so how do i go about checking if it works?
    any help much appreciated,

joining the 2 wires together should send the guage to the very top

Its just a resistor isn't it? They rarely go wrong

to check the stat itself, measure the resistance across the two terminals when its cold, warm the engine and check again. If its working the reading should change

i tried that but the gauge still didnt move so it must be the wiring or actual gauge,
