temp gauge goes straight to hot

    Hi guys my temp gauge on my runner 50 goes straight to hot when i turn the ignition on even when the engine is cold any ideas ? cheers guys

    Well its quite obvious that your temp sensor is naff. Standard ones are shit anyway, even when they work they indicate cold when the engines hot & only starts moving when the engine is on the brink of overheating.

    Better off fitting a digital type Koso temp guage, atleast your get a reading in degrees centigrade.

    will more than likely be the sensor in the head, they often break....
