New to this forum :) I don't really know much about scooters but I'm wanting your opinions...

I've just bought a new scooter (SYM Simply 2 50cc) I understand that these are imports and the rest of it...

I had £1,200 to pay for my scooter and CBT and found this scooter in huddersfield for £999 new with 2 year warrenty, which people say is a big price, but i'm guaranteed a scooter for 2 years.

Im just wanting to know, does anyone have one of these? Whats the top speed and what are the recommended mods?

I'm going to get it de-restricted and new exhaust and stuff...

Also I'm doing my CBT thursday, but don't have my plastic driving license because i lost it and my new one is on its way, i do have my paper one though, will this be okay?

    Cheers

    Kyle

Don't know anything about the scooter, but you will need both parts of your driving licence to do your CBT. When I have done mine in the past they always make it clear you need both parts, but you better ring wherever you are doing the CBT and check.

The sym simply is a great little scooter, it's not an import, it's a genuine uk spec scooter. You can derestrict it and get a pipe if you must, my advise is to use it properly, treat it right and it will be 100% reliable.

Thanks for the reply marsh, I had been told by a few mates that it's an import, i didn't think so :) I'm collecting it saturday and will test it out, if I feel that it's not fast enough for me I'll derestrict it

Remember to get it derestricted by your dealer or you could find the warranty void!
