Alrite everyone just got myself a 56 plate sym jet, straight swapped for my old area 51. Going to get some pics up of it later. So far its got a jack up kit on it and a technigas exhaust which i put on yesterday. Plans are to respray it, going Red & Black, do a bit of bodywork modifying on it, clutch, lighter rollers etc, the usual stuff you do. Any ideas or opinions welcome :good: :good:
Re: Sym Jet 50 why in the hell would you swap your area 51 for a sym :this: area 51s are lovely, so unique ! syms are 100% g a y !!! but spose you could make it look nice? hock: im guessing ti 2 stroke? if so think , but dont hold me to this in the slightest , that they have same engine as the minarelli?
Re: Sym Jet 50 well tbh the area had a shed load of problems, and my funds are rather low, so i swapped it for this with a mate and it has less problems with it only a few niggly bits, yep it's a 2 stroke, i don't know bout it being same as a minarelli engine though ??
Going to start getting work done on this now, progress is going to be slow but i'll keep it updated. Thursday i will be getting my new tyre fitted, practically running slick on rear. Friday im going to get a new spark plug, exhaust gasket and variator sliders, then couple of weeks after that is when i'll be ordering my new Polini Variator/Speed control kit, Adjustable Clutch and belt. :grin:
lol at how hard its tryin 2 b an sr at rear and y u getin vari clutch n belt? old ones brooken or what please dont say 2 improve performance...think ive seen 100 2 many posts in the last week askin if clutch vari n belt r good tuning items on a near enuf stock bike
