    Morning all, I've been offered a Sym DD50 ('06 plate) for £500, I haven't owned one before so I thought I'd ask if anyone on here has. I'm only after s omething reliable to get from A to B, it's not the nicest looking Scoot out there but I'm not too worried about that, more concerned on how well they're built, how easy to get are parts etc... Thanks in advance. :D

    they have good engines if you leave it standard it will do stupidly silly miles with no problems

    Sym = Save Your Money

    Nar, there not too bad matey. £500 for '06 plate is quite a bargain too. Just dont expect anything above 45mph :) The spare parts service is very good too. Drop me a line if you want the details of the firm i sued to supply the many spare parts i needed for my Sym Jet 50 which is actually on eBay now.

    Cheers fellas's, I'm only considering it because it's local to me. I'm getting a lift off a guy I work with but when the weather picks up he'll be using his bike so I need to get something sorted fairly soon. I was thinking about a TGB scoot as there's a dealer local to me. Anyone know how they are? Cheers. :D

    think they are only something like £750 new, great little scoot though, absolutely tiny.

    Yup, they're quite small. The TGB is £999 on the road, not sure how much the Sym was when it was new. :confused:arc:

    I was looking at the TGB Article in TAG, this morning funily enough :)
    They do look to have a good product range atually. Which TGB was you looking at?

    "When" the weather picks up!

    http://www.verteci.com/TGB_Scooters_R50X.asp I do like the look of that, Speedfight styling i recon? But quite a hefty price tag?

    I was looking at the basic 202 to be honest, something cheap to get to work & back on. :D
