Someone I know wants to swap there gilera runner 125 on 04 plate for my dna on a 02 plate. The Runner seems a bit slow on pull off but I think its because it needs a new variator and rollers. The panels are a bit tatty so I would replace them with the evo ones. My bike has a scopion exhaust and runs nice. What are better bikes the Runner or DNA?
If the runner is in good nick and not too many miles over yours then i would say runner too :hitit: kcnw9
Why do you both say the runner...? Have you tried both of those scooters yourselves ? To the question.. 2004 so a VX125? If so same engine so technically same ride. Only difference will be physical appearance and ride style. Its down to personal prefference according to the above differences.
same as concept said, both same engines just different frames, ive been on a dna and i didnt like the feel of the bike, thats why i went for a runner
ive been there and done it with bikes that have performance problems you never get to the bottom of it and end up spending loads of money the dna sounds fine so just keep it. id rather that then a banged up runner
yep. he was asking for opinions, so i said runner, i dont like either of them, but dna's are my least favourite vehicle on the road to date.
ive never tried a runner but ive had a few shots of the dna and omg, lol, it has the most uncomfortable riding position that you could ever ask, my groin was so squashed I got off in 3 minutes, they look shite aswell not to mention their size, if you sat on the floor you'd still be taller than the bike honestly, the runner has definately more parts available and look easier to modify
Its best to give an opinion if you actually can comment from experience and give reasons for your opinion. Anyone could pick one out of a hat. There seems to be alot of people on here talking about things they dont know much about, no offence to yourself .. I would also second monty's reply also as if your scoots fine is there really any need to take on one with problems? If you wanted a runner that bad sell your bike and buy a decent one..
I like to get bikes which are a little run down and do them up, I find it more enjoyable. Did the same with the DNA it was a slower than a 50 when I got it and then I did it up and now it runs perfect. The problem with the DNA is that the front suspension is too soft and the back wheel wobbles at high speeds which Im told they all do.
well then id say sell the dna and get a runner that needs more work otherwise your sort of loosing money, might aswell make a bit of cash whilst your at it?
