suzuki katana 'tidy up'

    hey all, im new to this so bear with me:p
    ive recently just brought a suzuki katana 2002 liquid cooled telfonica movistar edition moped, its pretty beat up, scratches silly paint job missing grilles and so on, it was running fine until i went to change the exhaust and basically the exhaust is stuck on the cylinder?!?! :beg: i need a cheap replacement for now so if anyone has one let me know! i will be spraying the scooter again to make it look fresh and also clean the engine and so on! pics soon im new so im getting my head around this haha! Ive recently heard that the old sr50 ditech cylinder fits? anyone have one please let me know:( :beg: :confused:cratch:

    what u mean its "stuck on the cylinder"?

    basically the nuts that connect the pipe to the cylinder are either rounded off or just basiclly seized up mate

    oh wow. some people have their own techniques on how to get rounded bolts off. its a long process (depending on the technique) so id just say leave it on unless ure planning on spending a lot of money on the bike. or just selling it

    yeah man, may just get a cheap replacement, theres one on ebay for 41 brand new its just going to be a run around until i can afford to drive and that:p more pics on how its stuck on soon

    This threads quite old, but my engine needed replacing so had a donor bike and slid that engine in, I thought why not spray it to tidy it up for a few months so that's what I did, ocean blue and White will post pics up in a few!

    So I haven't been on here in a while.. My scooter went from as above to ocean blue with White inners.. I then had an engine replacement because mine was shagged.
    I then went with black inners and a different fairing style because it looked much better.. Pics to follow later :)

    try this - get a socket that is one size smaller gently tap it on the nut until nut is completely covered by the socket then undo using a ratchet

    Probably should have read all the posts before replying. But yeah. It does work sometimes.
