Hi, I have a Suzuki Katana AY50 that I bought a few months ago. It has been played around with a bit by the previous owner. They have put a 70cc bore kit on it and it had a Leo Vince exhaust system as well. The problem I am having with it is that it is always over choked. This makes it's really hard to start and it struggles with the high revs. I thought it could be the automatic choke so I replaced that but that made no difference. I found that if I removed the choke and put a small kitchen sponge over the hole it would rev fine but it wouldn't idle. I recplaced the Leo Vince exhaust a couple of weeks ago because it split in half when I was riding it. I guess it was getting a bit old. I managed to pick up a new one on eBay for £10. The listing said it was made by Seven. This new one to have made the problem worse! Anyone got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Carb jetting is probably all over the place. Read our carb guide and see if you can set it up properly.
