I have a Suzuki CS50 1987, when the engine is full warm, and rev it then stall, I can smell heavy fumes and I think the auto choke is stuck open, which it supposed to be auto closed by a heating from the engine. It doesn't work! The rubber diaphragm is brittles, and nowhere to be found for this part. I was wondering if is possible to buy a universal carb with a manual choke, it would be more easy to trust myself to manual rather than the autochoke.

You could convert to manual choke and universal carb but try NRP carbs for parts first

Hi probably a bit late now (!), but if you do keep your standard carburettor on this model, don't forget to use heat conductive grease on the auto choke plunger in the carb. Had similar issues many years back.
