    Hi all !

I have bought an Suzuki Ay50 A/c 53 plate! :glare:
I have a technigas exhaust and 5g rollers.

It tops out at about 40mph on a flat and 50mph max down hill (although it sounds terrified doing so! :beg: ).

Now I have been offered a 65cc engine by a mate.

The problem I face is the carb and jett situation!
I have absolutely no idea how to upgrade this so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Or will it be O.K just installing the 65cc engine and not messing with the fuel system?

i've'e also been looking at a sports air filter!

All help will be greatly appreciated!
    I'm all ears. :)

hmmm. If you're not sure what you are doing get it done at an experienced scooter specialist. Check the below link out but you will need to install a bigger main jet and maybe make changes to the transmission and you will also need to adjust the oil pump also. If you just want to pootle round town and have a laugh keep your current setup. But if you want "power!" lol ditch that Technigas pipe for a better one. Depends on your budget. Let us know.

Dont try fitting the 65cc engine if you dont have experience coz u may need to modify the mounts so if u make a mistake it will cost you alot of money, its not worth it

why not just use a 65 carb? or if its the same carb check out the factory jetting.

if you cant work out jetting for yourself, dont do mods that affect it

youll want to do this now you have a 65cc, the technigas pipe is poor, like all of their pipes, and probably wont rev high enough either

Thanks "MiNoR cOnFuSiOn" but i doubt you was born with the capabilities to up jet bikes, we all have to learn right? I was just asking for help.

"RelentlessDan" I think it revs high enough to be honest as the front end will happily come up when taking off on full throttle.

Anyway I have taking my carb apart to find a size 60 main jet, does anyone know where I can jet about a Size 80 main jet?
    Its a keihin pws.

    Cheers!

no, so i bought a box of jets, read a few books and figured it out for myself.. then started a forum and wrote out a few guides on jetting, a few magazine articals on the princaples of jetting and then went about answering about 30 questions a day on "whgat jet to put in my bike"

fact is, if the bike is a 65.. you should be able to find the relevent jet figures FOR a 65 wiht your carb.. so use these as a starting point, then read the guide's and go from there. listening to some obscure person on a forum on exactly what jet to use usually results in a blown engine.
