over the last few weeks ive been buying parts and slowly building up a fresh engine for my Runner 70cc....Anyhow a few pics and captions. stage 6 Racing cylinder kit Main bearings and seals, Air filter, A tube for a Remote filter (which i probably wont use) and Carbon fibre reed petals for Tassinari V-force reed block. 24mm flat slide carb on stage 6 R/T CNC inlet... Electric water pump... thats about it so far...still a bit to do like :nerd: Do i qualify for 10% discount at scootermatix now...
hope the stub matches the right way up (its upside down) use an old piston to mark a straight line along the top of the exhaust port (fron the highest point) work the top so the sides have a small radius and theres 1/2mm difference from the devider to the start of the rad opn the edges of the port. hight of around 22 should be fine for the c16 (altho theyt run from 19 to 24 wiht no real prob, you want this revvy tho) 19mm from top is aggressive timing but the transfers may not feed too well if you do this. map the barel and i can give a definitive hight for the pipe vs tranfers so you get the best out of the barrel...
as for the carb.. good luck with it (might be a bit ropey idle/mid throtle and you may have to dril out the fuel float feed as its a little slow feeding.) ignor the powerjet for now. again, need to redo the carb guide and cover things like this/different procedures for identification of carb vs transmission setups as alot of people are still having troube.. but ye, the usual apply's. go over every curcit on the carb..plenty literature on these and other similar carbs. id be tempted to put a wet hover on it wiht a clear pipe and feed water through it just to see if the curcits are comming in the right times/throttle positions. it doesent look as bad as some of the copy's ive seen tho. just order REAL jets...
looks good there dave. and i need to get my arse into gear and decide what im doing with my 70cc bits
yeahh the barrel does look huge, took the pics on macro mode, good for picking out close up detail, but tends to magnify things :nerd: i thought the piccys turned out good for an old 3mp K800i phone  my son buggered off for the day with the big camera...
lovelly work on the barrel dave, honestly, looks well clean and professional. keep it up mate. may be as good as my zip one day  :emb:
Phew, thank god for that! I am after an R/T cylinder kit as soon as they land here. Didn't think they were out yet!
