ok i parked my ped in the bike parkin spot outside college as usual locked her up set the alarm ect.. end of college i cum out and my fukin carb, airfilter, boost bottle was gone and throttle cable fuel line boost bottle tubes cut! :wtf: fukin pissed went round college car park today to see if i saw any other bikes with my shit but no luck asked the security guards but no cctv footage just goin to fix it up and sell it.
why am i not suprised, you advertise what you have on your bike by keeping it on show (not just you, everyone does it) and are pissed off when it goes missing, terro has the right idea, stock looking typh, no-one would suspect there was anything worth nicking.
well theyve nicked a carb, and an air filter, which terro has, its just the boost bottle tbh i think it was just a dodgy time, nothing you did wrong unlucky though mate
compare the 2 bikes... which one are you most likely to nick stuff from? the blue one looks like there is so much more you can just grab and make a run with.
i dno, with a bit of knowledge youd see a wavy disc, burger filter and a scorp, id suspect a bit of a sleeper and have more of a butchers but yeh i do get what your saying and i wouldnt ever nick anything off a bike or car, or anything in general, the feeling is aweful.
oh yer terros bike looks well stock. arc: a big 25mm carb. air filter, a scorpion and a chrome side casing the bike colour may look standard but the rest doesnt
ok, i didnt mean stock, i meant everything looks well screwed onto terro's. LILJJ's boost bottle hanging out of the side is just an invitation, the malossi stickers also advertise whats on the bike, it stands out, wheras terro's, to the untrained eye, just looks like a tidy typh with a filter and a scorp, they arent gonna nick the scorp in a hurry, the filter isnt worth the hassle, for all they know it's a stocker 125. it dosn't advertise what it's got. if this makes sense? btw, i don't want to start an argument and am not aiming this at anyone in particular, just stating my opinion. as with anyone who has anything stolen, i'm sure you feel gutted and i feel for you.
sorry to hear mate... happened to me... robbed my 25m carb, reed block, manifold and filter.... thats why i dont bother with carbs anymore... and terros typhoon looks alot nicer no offence to the rizzla one but a nice clean bike with crome shit all around looks nice and robable...
what im useing to stop peeps from nicking my manifold it useing torx bolts with holes in the middle ive just got to think of a way to stop them getting ma carb
take it off when you park up seriously though, its the most robbable part on a scooter. the only thing i can think is drill a hole in it and lock it to the crankcase with somthing, not sure how though.
you can get them same things to go on you rmanifold its like a jubilee clip but it has the bit in the middle so that you have to use either the start key or an allen key with the hole in the middle.
ye support brackets work.. but if they can cut your cable a little plate aint gonna take long. an airbox makes it hard..
exactly why i sold my 25m carb.... a good what £140 worth or stuff robbable in 1 minute... thats why im keeping standard carb on and standard air box, i do know how u feel tho mate had my carb robbed.. fuckin bastards... what i do.... is fitted a boost boottle spacer in between the manifold and reed block.. which raised the carb up about 2cm.. so A. it stoped the float bowl hitting the mudguard... and B. you would need to get to the carb inspection panel to take the bolts of... Then the jubilee clip that holds the carb to the manifold i had it pointing up wards to you again need to get to the carb inspection panel to loosen it... and same wit hthe air filter jubilee clip...then everything was alot harder to get to.... and as for the carb inspection panel... i put a bolt thru it with 3 nuts on the end....took me a good 5 mins to get the inspection panel of.... instead of the old 5 seconds with that screw.... hope this helps anyone eles with a 25m carb...or wants to protect there carb...
tell you what right, they aint taking bolts off and undooing pipes. its a case of pull and cut m8. nothing can prevent it
its not about spending your life worrieng aout thiefs! just buy what you want and look after it!life is too short to not buy and enjoy what you want! unk:
I know how you feel mate but you should feel lucky that it wern't your bike gone and that you didn't get beaten up/mugged for it. I had mine mugged off me in December and that was a show winning bike, yours does look nice so they will be attracted to it, its hard to have something nice around London. My only thought is if you took a bike cover with you :wtf:
