Fit my side stand today, but to be honest it doesn't lean very much, because of how long the arm is.... If I was to jack my ped up, would it raise the stand and make it lean more? Thanks

If I had read this earlier I would of uploaded one, literally just locked my bike away :(
When I say it doesn't lean much, it's pretty much straight up (like a centre stand) I had it on earlier, rolled a fag and it blew over, luckily enough I caught it!!

yer you got to jack that up, i used a buzzetti and it was fine friend used the rms and it was too long. if you dont want to jack it up you can bend the mount a little to get a better lean

yes it will work, the higher you go the more the lean, but a stranded jack up will stop it falling over. just get a doppler one that can be adjusted

Why not just cut the side stand and make it shorter? As this is the problem your going to make other non needed mods to rectify it?

I was thinking that... But, there would be no foot, just a bar that ends no where :/ and it won't have the bit that comes out to flip it down,
And to be honest, I have been contemplating a jack up kit for a while, now I have a valid excuse to get one lol

Thing is, I don't want the stand to make it lean way too low, and I don't want the bike to be way too high... That's the problem with being 6ft 3 :/
As it stands now, I have a bike that's low and the centre stand is okay, but I want rid of that, so it may be a necessary mod?

why do we need the centre stand gone?, in my first reply i did say just cut the stand. get a grinder and cut off 10mm at a time till you get where you want to be

But then the stand will have no foot or thing to kick it out without welding it all back on again.
For the sake of a tenner for a jack up kit and 10 mins to stick it on, not worth the hassle. + it'll look better jacked up.
