That is illegal in the eyes of the law and i would imagine the views of the forum admin, if they are both legal then there's no need to swap plates. Do it legal or don't do it at all!
you can swap everything over legally as long as the original plate stays with the original frame. You still need to notify DVLC on any colour changes etc. Being as theyre both zips I bet thats all it states on the logs book so shouldnt be a problem
as above, you could fit all the gear from one frame to the other, and as long as the frames and plates stay together your fine. seems a little pointless to me to do the sway unless your wanting to get rid of the older one but keep the better specd parts on a newer plate
