Well i think its a stupid question so go easy, But I did my cbt when i was 16 and I'm 17 soon and was wondering what I can ride then? Am I right in thinking i can ride a geared 125? If so waht one would you recommend (something cheap).
Well want something cheap, prefer a road looking bike over an off road style bike, hmm and would prefer two stroke unless there is a big advantage of having a four stroke.
their is the rs125 but aint exacly cheap. maybe some of the imports if you aint to fussed bout them and think most of them 4 strokes. cbr125 but is a four stroke. dont know reali best of having a look about see what you think. but you are restricted to 14hp i think,
Rather not have an import, can they be derestricted like we all do with peds or is it more complicated. I've heard the rs125 is stupidly unrealiable is that true or what? sorry for all questions.
well it depends imo. if it is well looked after plenty of services it can be ok but can get expensve aswell. when derestricted it is close to 33hp so is powerfull for a 125 and it dosent do it alot of good if u kick its arse evrey where which is hard not to do if u was looking for cheap this wouldnt be your best idea to be honest.
Had a look on ebay and they all over a grand, really only want to spend £500 max, I know its tight but im only going to have it for a couple of months.
Really, I though i could get something older for that sort of price, and dont like the cg's sorry for being fussy.
no worries. imp: its just a case of you looking about seeing what you like and can find for the money you got reali.
they tend to be cheaper more reliable and an avarge 125 will do about 70mph i think. then aint feali slow or anythink just havent got that kick that a 2stroke has.
The RS125 needs an engine rebuild every 10,000miles when in full power trim!!! Ontop of that they also are prone to cold seizures...especially on a cold winter morning...leaving them ticking over dont help much either, you think theres a bit of warmth in the engine, set off down the road then the thermostat pops open the barrell cools and tightens up around the hot piston!!!..
