Hi yes sorry for the mix up yes I mean transmission gears as I have such a big kit I have been told I need to put a gear up kit in to use it to its full potential

It really depend how you are using your bike
If you don't mind it screaming but havinga crazy good acceleration you can keep the standard gear

If you rather prefer having your bike capable of higher top speed and screaming less when than fit a higher gear kit don't get me wrong you will still have good accelaration but not as hard as with oe gear

Since you seems to like stage 6 bits
Why don't you go with there gear kit ?

I do plan on going stage 6 gears as well but there as different primary gears and I'm unsure which one to get as I don't want to get to big of a primary gear or it would be a waste. And then I'm unsure if I need a secondary gear as well

    Three things ,
you haven't told me what your top speed is ?
What you want of your bike great acceleration or great speed ?
And what bike is it ?

If they do let say only one secondary gear and two or three primary just change the one they only do one of this way you will be able to see which gear ratio you have as standard and work out what you can or want to do

Top speed on gps is about 85-90kmh. I would probably want to improve that to about 110kmh maybe a tad more I can afford to loose some acceleration as I make so much torque

Yeah 85/90kmh it must be screaming
You still haven't told me what your bike is

Doing about 11900 rpm at that speed. It's a 05 aerox

I thought of the malossi but he would like it stage 6
As he got most of it stage 6
The malossi will need to be pressed tho

You can use secondary gear kit 15/39 from stage6.
The reduction factor will be the same as malossi primary kit
    Standard primary 13/52 + Stage6 secondary 15/39 = 10.40.
It's pre pressed and easier to fit than primary gearing.

im in the process of a similar build. im going to do what aeroxman suggested and get the stage6 secondary gear kit.
am i right in thinking you would only need to change both if you were running a high end kit?

Stage6 13/43 primary It's about the same as Stage6 secondary 15/39 as I suggested to you over here. But Stage6 secondary are easier to fit, because you dont have to press the primary shaft thru the bearing in the gear cover!

It dosent matter if you change primary, secondary or both, it's the total reduction factor that matters. Sometimes you have to change both to get reduction factor you want.
