some silly cunt must have used industrial strength locktite on one of the caliper bolts
i have had to cut off the socket cap top as it just rounded anyway
now my question is how do i get it out as ive sold the caliper i was thinking of taking it to get a nut welded onto the top of the bolt?? its been soaking in wd but alas no movement?????

right ive been thinkin about this but wouldn't it be easier if the part that needed drilling was clamped into a vice and a pillar drill be used therefore making sure the drilling was dead straight??

ye, thats always the best way of drilling/machining into any engine. it has a nice flat face you can bolt down to a backing plate and clamp down, or even straight onto the drill bed itself.

basic engineering....been done this way for centurys.

but ye, for the odd bolt that has a head these tools are dead handy. especially good for tranny covers with all 15 rounded bolts as you can just cut the heads off, remove the case and use this to take all 15 in out in a matter of mins ;)

stud extractors are a priceless tool to have at your disposal tho dont get me wrong and can be used with a hand drill to great saucess... just need's to be done carefully... neer impossible/pointless if theres external stud remaning
