wel i fitted a new exhust o my katana and it reaches 20 mph realy quick but will then struggle to 30, after reaching 30 it wil then pick up speed to around 40mph. wht do i need to do>? upjet? rollers? please helppp. jordan
what exhaust have you fitted ? a sports one ? if so you will have to upjet by one or two size's and same with the rollers as it will be not hitting the right rev's to come into the powerband hope this helps

1 or 2 sizes ? that's far to little! you need to go up by 10-15%. Sadly I have no clue on the rollers, is it one of them cheap shitty things on Ebay ?
sorry for the late reply been busy, but basically my pistons fucked. its hard to find jets for my standard katana carb apparently its a keihin PWS? and i cant find it anywhere
Nice! And ermm not a clue. Best off buying a replacement. People have been on here before and couldn't find jets.
this thread i draggin on, does anyone know where to get the pws carb jets from? or ones that will fit? if not would anyone reccomend a new carb im n a budget aswell! ive also got a cheap aftermarket exhaust what jet should i upjet to? thanks!
when i fiited a sports exhaust, i never upjetted, i just dropped 1.5 grams on the standard rollers and it went lovely...
I,m no expert,& not familiar with your bike,but as an example I have just fitted a deristricted sports pipe on my yam jog,the standard jet is '60',& I settled on an '80',maybe slightly rich,but it doesnt feel it to be honest. I would jump it up 10%,maybe 15% & see how it is running,if it proves to be a bit rich you can step it down,but this wont hurt the motor erring on the rich side.
Cannot find jets to fit my origin PWS12 carb anywhere, also now the bike ticks over for 30ish seconds then dies, sometimes it may vary though. Adjusted the idle screw and nothing! Seriously pissing me off. Its up for sale with loads of spares so if anyone's interested, also new spray job.
