    Hey.

I have a 2001 yamaha neos, which is fully restricted (exhaust, variator) which goes around 56 clock speed.

I have fitted lighter rollers, 4.5g instead of the standard 6.5 :msn1: which makes the acceleration a load better, and the revvs actaully stay steady throughout the power, with this setup its nippy enough for what I use it for, and reliable.

But I have noticed, when you accelerate, upto 7mph it goes very slow, hardly revv's, then it will suddenly revv up and power up to about 50mph clock speed. Anyone know what this is?

And also, if have my transmission apart, when I put it back together, it runs really well etc, but after about 70miles it will take longer to accelerate etc not revving as much, but if I simply take the transmission cover off, undo the cutch and variator, take these off, then put it all back together it will run really well again, so like WTF :confused:arc:

Anyone got any ideas or help/advice?

    Many thanks

Does the bike rev quite high when on the spot until the clutch bites?

nopeee. but like i brought some from beedspeed, like +15% +45% and + 70%, ive tried all of them and stock and theres like no difference  but i was thinking it was the springs, but its just strange. any know about the decrease in performance?

stiffer clutch springs.. the delay is the engine being under load below the powerband so it takes a while to build up.. stock setup SUCKS

tbh, thats what i thought, becuase wen it gets to like 7mph it's at the revv's where it just pulls and pulls.

so i need some springs, anyone got a set spare, or what shall i get, i think the ones from beedspeed are shit, how can i know which are going to be stiff enough? i dont mind them being a lil bit too stiff either

and will a contra make much difference whilst ive got the clutch apart?

a box of clutch springs with 3 sets in are a about a tenner of pm tuning. get them and try each set until you find a set that works well
