Hi all, i got a zip with a italkit 70 kit and doppler s3r exhaust.only recently i have come across this strange problem.on a good day i start up my ped and it rides perfectly in all throttle positions no problems atall and some days i start it up and it just splutters heavily, the thing wont even move it just constant splutter even at full throttle and once u let go of the throttle it starts dying. ive tried a new plug and changed carb settings but no luck. i cant seam to find the problem. i was told it could b an electrical problem so one time i just wiggled sum wires when i knew it wasnt working, started it up and it worked but this could have just been a fluke.everything seams to b in order but it just wont work. its been of the road for over a month now. any ideas would b great.cheers

sounds like your choke is acting up, make sure all the wires are connected properly if youve got a spare choke try fit that or a friends

you might aswell just get a 17.5 mil carb or 21 or 20.5 but the 17.5mil should go straight onto ure manifold the 12mil webber carb is pretty small for a 70's

You need another carb, 17.5 is to be honest slightly too small for a well performing 70. A 12 mil carb is way, way too small.

yeah 17.5 is still ok but the 12mil needs to go lol jus get a gilly 12's carb (20.5) and a 125 inlet and ull be fine

i had a feeling its abit small but it runs ok strangely inuf lol
whats bad about running a small carb or is it it could just run alot faster with a bigger 1.

was loking at a tnt 21mm carb u no the 1s that r like 45 quid. r they any good?

useing a small carb will give you less power, also useing a larger carb keeps your engine cooler

If it is not choke then, for me sounds like bad wire between spark and coil. Maybe theres problem? Or you have problem with negative cable of coil?
