when doing a stoppie, how do you get the bike to roll so far and then spin 180 degrees arround on the front tire?

right, its all about body position and balance points, first challenge is to develop a smooth rolling stoppie, you can begin to find the balance point (as you would with a wheelie), once you are comfortable with this point you need to learn how to shift your bodyweight on the scooter whilst one wheel is up. (if you can, use a pedal cycle to gain the technique first, its less expensive when it goes wrong. start a stoppie, turn your steering very slightly and push the bike round with your bodyweight, you may have to turn into the stoppie (as you would if you were powersliding like speedway), the rear end should start to come round, the trick is not to land it at 90 degrees to the direction you are travveling or you will highside.

too fast and you will fall off, too slow and you won't be able to maintain rotation. its about speed, balance and timing.

So you turn the front wheel in the direction you want to go?

you turn the front wheel right and the rear of the bike will "step out" to the left

if you want to turn left you start to drop the left bar downwards an pull the right towards you slightly without steering.. the bike will leane left and the rear will start to move right

as this happens you want to push your hips round to the right and then steer right enuff to stop the bike falling over to the left.. sounds strange but if you follow what i say infront of your comp you should be able to visualize the bike and what it does.

its amazing the ammoutn of counter leaning and anti steering you do without realising and this is the same, just your trying to pay attention to it

explain how to go round a corner and if somone follows your directions they will come off as to turn left on a bike you actually turn right, the bike leans left then you follow to the left to keep you upright.

have fun trying thois an id sudgest lots of bubnblewrap and parcel tape on the bike.. saves broken/scratched pannels

I did this on my way to camber last summer following smf.

    all the above is right.
just lean in same as you'd turn in to a corner(counter steer) and do a stoppie...
but don't do it at speed as the back comes round fast if you miss time it.
