    my mates bike
was pushed over yesterday and now the steering lock is permanantly stuck on. the key wont turn into the steering lock position either, we have opened her up and seen that the forks arnt bent and the stem is intact.

anyone no how to take the ignition barrel off - or what could be causeing the steering lock to be stuck permanantly ? any ideas at all on sorting this problem would be greatly appreciated,

    thanks

Take the barrel off and take the steering lock pin out

Had to do that after some bastards tried stealing my SpeedFight but instead ending up permanently jamming the steering lock

Either get a new barrel or make sure your using a disc lock and chain when leaving it

shud have given the bars a knock in the opposite direction to take the pressure off the lock. I'd have come free then

tis not just you.... anyone can literally come on here without looking and pritymuch learn how to steal a bike. gives people ideas. dont think me an asshole or that im emplying your a thief.. just gotta be careful, yues there easy to nick but people get bored of them, no point educating the new youth as to the ins and outs of scooter lock bypassing is there?

but ye, hopefully you have it sorted by now ether way
