Very possible these batterys need to be putting out 12v, it may not be spinning fast enough and not producing enough of a spark when cold
Just put it on charge now sumone sed to me u need trickle charge every week surely this carnt be right ?
Depends on the distance you do,if your stopping and starting it every mile the battery hasn't got a chance to replace the charge it took to start it if it works on the same principal as a car,as for every week that is a bit much also depends on the age of the battery, they do tend to not hold the charge the older they get
Just tried starting it n it fired straight up so think it is me battery on it way out do 6miles a day on it.
Yep sounds battery related if its been on there a while it might not be holding the charge, had a car like that glad you got it going when cold
It could be how you start it, there's usually a method with any scooter/bike, give it a squirt of throttle starting it from cold, wind throttle on a little while turning over has it got the right oil in it? 5w/40 fully synthetic is what you need.
Not that I think it makes a great deal of difference but 5w 40 is a thinner oil meaning in colder weather the oil is offering less resistance as its not as thick, but as you said look at the plug just incase .
