Starting problem

    Hi guys i got a funny starting problem.I got a 25mm carb on there .I would try starting it on the button and the engine spin over quite fast and hard but wont start but if i give it one crank from the kick starter it would start with no problem.I have replaced spark plug ,malossi reed valve cleaned the carb amd same problem.Can somebody assist

    try hooking it up with some jump leads, could just be the battery or a bad starter motor

    find this regular with 4 strokes. usually find the carb slide is too far open for the electric start to cope with, or the idle jet needs changing for a bigger one

    yeah, those peugeot 4 strokes are useless at starting, i probably changed the carb setting on every single one we sold last year. they run them lean to meet the euro emmisions standards for sale in the EU/EEA
