hi everyone been awhile since i have posted, just changed the starter motor on my yamaha neos and now when turning over its very slugish and kills the battery in about 20 seconds. any help on what might be causing this would be appreciated. thank you.
Does it spin freely with no load, i.e. off the bike (connect it to a battery off the bike) If yes then check the starter sprag, them little rollers are a bitch for jamming up with crap. Just done an aerox (same engine) and changed the sprag and gear wheel with bearing, now starts luuverrly. And they are not expensive either, £26 from scooter works .co .uk for both
