Hi all was wondering if someone could tell me the dimensions of the standard crank for my stalker and a recommendation for a crank to run with a polini 70 kit as I can't find a polini one for my price range?? I need new bearings too

I think standard crankshafts are usually a 10 mm , Also what polini kit are you using because if its a cast iron sport one there is no point in fitting a uprated crankshaft unless the one in your engine is already knackered , also try pmtuning.co.uk or pedparts.co.uk both sell uprated cranks and bearing & seals relatively cheaply . hope this helps

I'm getting a polini sport 70 an its making some funny noises like the main end bearings are going so you reckon any crank would be fine as its not a race cylinder ?

what kind of noise is it mate like a banging and rumbling noise ? if so that's your main bearings , and if you are already rebuilding the bottom end you can pick a up a race crank and the bearings and seals all in for about £100-150 quid depending on what make you want , but on my previous scooter i ran the same kit but liquid cooled with my standard crank and it ran fine . hope this helps

your welcome mate , and i used a arrow extreme pipe at the time and it was on a aerox 50 or though it was a good exhaust it could of performed better , the yasuni z and the yasuni r are good exhausts so i hear

you could try a pm tuning 360 pipe or the stage 6 sports pro replica just don't use a high revving exhaust because the cast iron sport 70 kits produces most of there power low end and mid range

Yeah pedparts did ask what bike I've got so I think they are ordering one I would prefer to keep everything polini near enough as my bike is polini colours :) just me being picky

lol yh i was like that when i built my old aerox 50 , polini 70 cc cast iron , polini reed block , polini variator and belt , but i had a mallosi fly clutch with yellow springs and a polini white contra spring has for the carb a i had a ysn 17.5mm think i was running a 96 main jet my exhaust was a arrow extreme also installed a full circle tnt race crank and stage 6 c4 bearings and seals had great low end and mid range acceleration and about a extra 5 mph top end speed but it was worth the grin factor more than anything but cost me a fortune lol

the clutch springs allow the clutch to engage at different rpm's same with the torque spring , stiffer the springs the later the clutch will engage i think mine were 1500 rpm springs in my clutch and the torque spring was just a bit stiffer than standard .

my set up on my current aerox is a white torque spring , pm tuning clutch with blue springs think there either 1000 - 1500 rpm springs standard variator with motoforce 4 gr rollers and a endy expansion chamber and a upjetted carb to a 92 with standard air box with a stage 6 filter element with the snorkel removed , has great accelleration and a 55 mph top speed great little run around
