does anyone know where i can get a kit for a stage 6 crank? i need the- main bearings, gudgeon pin, small end, big end and the actual shaft. can i get a kit what has all this? is it called a conrod kit? any help will be highly appreciated
Re: Aerox crank can u actually buy the conrod seperatly? ive never seen a con rod sold seperatly so u MIGHT need to buy it all over again
As scooter cranks are so cheap no one really sells rebuild kits... For the cost of the work on it and the parts you might as well buy a new one.
thanks for the help 'xplicit vehicle' - hmm yeh thats what i was thinking... well lucky for me the actual shaft if useable, so all i need is bearings, 'ends, and gudgeon pin, and i'm pretty sure you can buy them all separately. ok so another question; whats the difference between 10mm and 12mm cranks, basically i'm getting a malossi cast iron 70's and i've got a stage6 crank but i need the previous parts for it, once i get them will it all fit? like is this where the 10&12mm part comes into play? and also i need to know what one my crank is so i can then buy the parts.. what bit do i have to measure?
Where? I can't find parts for stage6 cranks... 10mm is the standard gudgeon pin size for minarelli engines. So it also relates to the small end bearing and conrod. Piaggio are 12mm as stock and 10mm is seen as small and weak so you get uprated cranks for minarelli engines that are also 12mm. Your cylinder/piston needs to also have a 12mm gudgeon pin to work with your crank.
ahh thats because i was just looking at polini ones i take it they will not work/fit? so that cylinder kit needs a 12mm crank? so i couldn't use that kit with a standard crank? i need to upgrade to a 12mm one. ok i'm starting to get this :L
I wouldn't expect them to fit... They could use different bearing sizes and whatnot. Pretty sure all Malossi Sport 70cc kits are 10mm.
hmm i think i'm just going to ditch the stage6 crank and keep my standard one then, it should be fine shouldnt it, is only a sport 70's ? or do you think it would be best to get a new one, its done about 18k...
