Stuck the TT back on it and put a B8ES plug in (brand new) seems to be running okay(ish) for now.... Went out before to find the place were im doing my theorey test. I went to turn round on the road and my bike cut out. Started straight away then cut out again. Took the battery cover out to see around the head to see if the cable had popped off but everything was fine, then it started straight away again and ran (for some reason) brilliantly. As I set off the front wheel came off the ground a bit! Got about half a mile down this road at about 50 it just cut out again? So I pulled over in a bus stop and left it 5 mins while I was on the phone, it started straight away again and was perfect all the way home? Temp got to about 2 Bars on the gauge, plenty of fuel, must be a spark problem because it spat a bit from the exhaust when it started? Any ideas? Too cold of a plug? Been out for a 40 mile ride with the same plug type a couple of weeks ago and the bike didnt miss a beat!
if you have any spare or try using your mates bike and change the generator as it might not be working properly and not giving you a constant spark , i had the same bike and it used to work fine then it started the cutting out business changed pretty much everything didint work and it died , changed the generator worked spot on. if that dosent work try changing you fuel tap as there could be so dirt that is blocking up the petrol coming through for a moment also did u upjet your carb when you put your tt on ?
Big had the TT on when I got it, no idea about the jet but its been perfect the last 4 months By generator do you mean the for the charging system? Gives out 14volts running all day long, does have a battery on its way out but always starts the big first time! If it cut out and started straight away a couple of seconds later would it be fuel?
Put a BR9ES in it this afternoon, turned the oil pump down and is running loads better, the mechanic did suggest checking the generator but I will run it with this plug in.
