Went to college on my bike this morning (bearing in mind it was pissing it down) got pissed wet through and I noticed after about 10 mins of riding (bikes usually cleared its throat) it was still missing when I open the throttle. Got to running temperature, still doing it? Because I havent got a cover over my carb I though water had gotten in it causing it to run rough, I also noticed the throttle had gotten very stiff.

Got it home, took the carb out, cleaned everythign and though, I might aswell put this 72 jet ive got spare it in, took the 60 Jet out, the 72 I had looked completly differnt and didnt fit! Typical

So cleaned all the carb put it back together and got it started, ran for about 1 min then cut out, put a new plug in and it been running for half an hour or so but.............. Still misfiring? Checked the Brand New CDi and it looked fine no loose connections or bad earth.... any ideas?!

Take out the HT lead from the coil and dry out everything ;)

perhaps a wet air filter? If you have an open filter it could explain it.

Stock air box (with restrictor still in) I took the carb off and into pieces and cleaned everything the next day, put it all back together and its never run so well in its life! Also the idle (didnt adjust it) was about 3500 rpm and had to brake at traffic lights because it wanted to set off! But no mis firing at all until today it was up to temp and started doing it for aboyut 5 - 10 mins under WOT then stopped?
