I am going to start a new thread for my next project. I am going to install a 183 motor in my Aprilia SR50. One question I have is can I still run oil injection with this motor or do I need to premix?

How is this the wrong section? Does this not classify as a Project?????

Anyways here is a couple photos of what I am starting with. I will have to do some custom fab work to mount this engine into my SR50 frame.

Custom fab work? Looks like all it needs to fit is a couple of spacers :p

Its gonna need a lot more than a couple spacers! Maybe you would just use a couple spacers but that is a 50cc mount. It will not stand up to a 35 plus HP motor!

start with a piaggio engine sr.. i dont think this is one (could be mistaken) and 50 mounts have been used for years.. just reinforce them a little, not perfect, but wont kill you any time quick..

My plan is to get a SR125 mount and install that into the frame.

Dare I say but why not use a 125 frame to start with! Or even the whole sr125 scooter!

Because I wanted to have it stay registered as a 50cc. Plus I like a challenge. Keeps me busy.
