sr50 with 70cc help and lighting question

Ok here goes

My brother bought a sr50 with a 70cc bore kit, not sure of the make of the kit think its polini.
Kit is installed and runs fine, my question is how do you hook up the temp sensor there dosent appear to be one on the head, there are some screws which can be taken out and water comes out so i assume that the temp sensor can go in one of these, however the standard size temp sensor off the 50 head is to big. Am i missing something?

Next problem is the lights, the front and rear lights only come on when the bike is revved, when idling there is no light (that can be seen), I know the lights are supposed to get brighter when reved but you cannot see them at all when bike is just idling, any ideas whats causing this
I looked under front fairing and only thing not connected is a pink cable with bullet connector and a blue earth wire, when i looked on ditech diagram
(as cant find a diagram for carbed version) it says there is supposed to be a resistor there, is this the case for the carbed model as well or only the ditech.
Sorry for long winded post but really need to get bike ready for mot cheers guys

 

the polini kit comes without a fitting for the temp sensor, any sensor put on will have to be custom made.

as for the lights sounds like your battery is dead. are you kick starting the bike or will it start electrically?

 

hello mate, firsly thanks for info about kit, any ideas on a custom sensor, anyone ever done one.
I am kickstarting but only because the starter motor dosent seem to have enough power to crank the piston even on a booster, all other lights work indicators fuel light etc and horn so its leaving me a bit baffeled was thinking mabey somwhere a wire is connected wrong cheers
