the bike had a new top end last year and wasnt ran after that. the problem was that the pipes in the cylinder head that went to the carb was on wrong so water was getting into the fuel. it was also coming out of the spark plug. i changed the carb and blocked the water pipes off and it runs spot on! but it smokes like mad!

could it be just old oil sitting around burning? or could it be water?

what should i do, keep it running and burn it off or strip the engine down and clean it all up?

    nicorette fuel addative?

joking aside, if its white smoke then dribble some oil into your cylinder/reedblock as its full of water... blue smoke or blueish white smoke is just oil.. (lots of oil looks white but slightly blue if you look close)

so ye, banfg some oil in there and keep running it.. the water sitting in there is not helping atall... bearings rust in 7 or so mins and rust SERIOUSLY reduces the life of a bearing.

:rotfl: thanks for the advise but problem solved.

just for anyone else who may have this problem...

the carb was full of junk from fuel + water mixing so cleaned it out, took the exhaust off and cleaned that out, had abit of watery oil and ran it without the choke connected.
