Hey, Right i bought an SR50 R carb model last week on a 2008 plate, When he turned it on in front of me, it had something like 5,000 miles on the clock (digital clocks), however when i decided to get it started a few days later the battery was comnpletely dead. So i took the battery out to charge it up. When i reconnected the battery the clocks now show 86,080 miles, Wtf?? how is that possible to jump from 5,000 to that just from disconecting the battery, is there anything written about this or has anyone else had the same problem, or any solutions? thanks, lee
& i forgot to mentionm, my friends old SR did exactly the same, skipped from 16,000 to 36,000 miles when he messed with the battery wired, but that isnt as bad as mine, i need to get it back down as i want to sell the bike & 86,000 miles isnt a good selling point lol
