Hi there every one i am starting a sr125 project from just the frame.i am getting malossi bore but i cant decide weather it will be worth buying the 180 one instead of a 172 kit.

And weather it is less relaible and would you have to put different gearing, belt clutch ect.... thanks josh.

If that's a Malossi bore as it says then its deffo just a wrongly described 172. I think it's maybe something to do with 180s being actually a bit less than 180cc and 172s being a bit more than 172cc and Beedspeed being a bit gumtree but im no expert.

Biggest AC cylinder as far as I know is a 172. I've got an AC 172 and couldn't be happier with it. As reliable as stock in my experience

When changing to the 172 kit do you need to change the carb or is the stock one good if its up jetted ??

Beedspeed just describing it badly tbh. Theyre a decent company though but you probs can find it a bit cheaper elsewhere

I've got a 172 with 25mm and a 180 variator and am quite happy with it. I ran mine with stock carb for a while and reckon you defintely feel a difference with a 25mm..in fact I reckon the 25mm made it a bit easier for me to set up
