i used search and dint find what i was looking for so i make this topic, i got my crank sorted now and i want my cdi sorted to give out 15-16000 revs how do i do this as i was told the malossi cdi's are only for the LC engines is this right?
nope but fuk all point if our barrel is std you could try a l/c stator plate flywheel and cdi on your engine
1, it works with the lc stator an flywheel not the ac 2, your engine will never see anywhere the rpm's your dreaming of.. and no thjeres no cdi for an ac stator/flywheel
ok thnx minor, i am a little pissed off tbh as im now thinking man why spend all this money on a ac engine when i cud of on a lc i am picking up my mates gilera runner 125 for nothing as he crashed it and all the back smashed but engine fine i might change some bits over anyway what rpm increase is realistic for me if i were to change the flywheel and stator?
none because your port timings wont be anywhere near harsh enough, even 30 odd bhp motors wont be pushing those RPMs, looking at 10k max, after that the bike will shake its self apart.
some rev higher.. but not many.. not 16k thats for sure. can slam the wc stator on there, just tap the holes for the fan screws
what other way is there? the curve is pritty similar to the stock cdi apart from idle and above say 9k.. there is no gain greally, its more a means of getting an engine to rev once ported for the application.
forgot to say.. the lc cdi is alot better than the ac as the ac is a fixed ignitioon curve as far as im aware... i never use the ac cdi
ok, another question of mine is, i have a phbl 25m carb for mine as in my signature but also before i had my ped i had a Rs125 and took the old carb off that and replaced it with a vhsb 34mm, the old carb happens to be a phbh 28mm, it has a slide missing and top but thats about it, will it be worth me getting the lost bits and putting it on? or will there be not much point as im restricted on the barrel Ie no porting etc??? thanks
will gain top but loose responce and torque at part throtle.. parts are worht more than the carb is on ebay tho tbh.
