hi I've just bought a sr 172 ac and its got a stock exhaust was wondering if a sports exhaust will make it any quicker and what exhaust is the best for them been told it will do 90mph already
you have been missinformed.. and belived it. 62mph the engines good for stock. gewars might just see 70/75 with a 172 fitted, but again, i doubt it, if you think it does 90, go sit in the outside lane of any motorway of your choice and see how well you pass cars doing 70+ lol pipes, most wont fit an sr without fucking about, be it remopving the engine and putting it back in with the new pipe half fitted in a certian order (pm pipes) or cutting fan covers( scorpion) the pm 52 is made for the sr/typh, but runs like a bag of shit. id rather the stock myself. could bell scootercentre and ask if the jolly moto 172 pipe fits. the stock pipe on these bikes is not a bad peice of kit, heavy, not massivly revvy, but it is in no way a restriction like the 50 pipes. for road use you can get a good fast strong engine using the stock exhaust. just carb, gear up, usual bits and bobs this should be in maxiscooter tuning for future referance
