SR125 mini project

As some of you may know, my SR was recently stolen. However i recently got it back and its not in too bad of a condition but its super bodged and grotty looking. So ive decided to rinse my student loan and make it look sexy over the next week or two.


The ped.

Panels held together mostly by duct tape as loads of the lugs are broken

bald tyre

Rudeboi tights and rubberband airfilter as the thieves fucked up my airbox.

some nice scratches

I made a big order from ScooterCenter and got:

Gloss White panel kit
Red mesh grill
Air Filter
Straight inlet mani
grips
rear tyre
side stand
couple of jets

and im buying a PM52 off a mate for £50

Im planning on eventually 172ing it and getting renthals but that wont be for a while.

Got started today and cut the mesh and fitted it into the front panel:


then i wacked the new manifold on, carb and filter arent set up yet but i stuck em on to see how its gonna look

light up filters are where its at.

That tights airfilters is lol, the air filter you got now uses a watch battery don't it? pretty good idea!

Projects been moving slow as ive been juggling with wet weather, uni and a new girlfriend. But i stuck on the underbody and stripped the front today

And the PM52 off my mate. Needs a good scrubbing, maybe a respray to hide the wonderful rust



Will attempt to get the front sorted tomorrow if the weather holds up.

One problem i do have is that my horn has stopped working and i cant figure out where it is on an sr?

 

Polish up the end can abit and put some bumper cleaner (?) on the end can to bring out the red, hurry up and get the decals on! What you got planned for wheels?!

 

Did you report this stolen when it got taken? If so how did you mark the bike as not stolen when u recovered it ? Project is looking good, always liked everybit or an sr apart from handling! Them stickers are gonna look the part :good:

by looking at them I can tell it's a Canon EOS 40D probably.

 

Not sure what to do with the wheels as i cant really afford to get them painted atm, was thinking about getting some red rim tape for now and eventually getting some gloss black or red typh wheels.

The ped was recovered by the police so everything was sorted out through them. I feel you on the handling, its not too bad but it can be twichy.

Yeah 40D dunno how you can tell from the pics unless you peep'd my exif data?
