i have got a 02 reg aprilia sr125 totally standard i can get a 172 kit for it some people say that i would need to upgrade the crank would i have to or would the standard crank be ok as i don't fancy doing a engine rebuild it has done low miles and runs excellent
welll depends what you call low. "cranks tend to last around 15,000 miles" also if your planning to put a bigger carb on it. it is a lot of strain on the standard crank....You may not have to do it straight away but is a good idea to do it in the near future..also sr's tend to be very shakey at high speeds, and a 172 jumps all over the place which would make that worse..a new crank would defo b a good idea
