ive fitted str8 flush indi's on my new shape sr, eveything was working fine when i stripped the bike, but now with the flush indi's in. when i turn tem on, nothing will happen until i unplug the rear or front and then plug it back in then they will both work, and the same happens on the other indi. ive ran these indicators on other bikes before so i doubt its them but im not sure what to do now as ive checked the wiring and ran 2 indicators through the fronts to see if it was the loom but its still doing the same, so any one got any ideas as out of them :rotfl: any help appreciated :good: cheers
have you tryed the old indercators on to see if its the same? i would check the relay, might of got damp while it was sitting around with no panels
ive not tryed the old ones on yet but ill chuck them back on tomorrow and see whats happening, i was told the indi relay on new shapes is in the rec and everything else is working fine so i doubt its that??? cheers
ive just had the old indi's back on the rear and there working spot on, so it must be some dodgy wires on the str8 indi's, rubbish really as there brand new
still no luck, ive tryed other 2 sets of indi's on the rear and there working fine, but as soon as the str8 indi's are on im back to square 1, ive had the indi's apart and tryed it with just some wires straight onto the bulb and its happening again, so could it be the bulbs? im not too good with elecy's :rotfl: so i aint got a clue anymore
no bulbs are fine, but realised the 2 bulbs on str8 indi's are 23w and i tryed 10w bulbs and there working, so they musnt be able to run 2 sets of 23w bulbs
yeah there the same bulbs just a diff watt, ive onyl got clear in atm so ill have to get orange ones of colour them in :rotfl:
try the bulbs mate, there only a few quid. i know that with the lexus lights (on cars) had the same faulty problem and it always was the bulbs in them. so might be worth a try? if not then its getting some new indi's
i pal i have an old sr50 and i removed the rear indi to put some smaller motrax ones on to do so i had to uprate the flasher unit from 12v to 12.8 volts...i also had to uprate the electrical fuses to be able to cope with the higher volt flasher unit hope this helps
