hi i have just had a aprilia sr 50 w reg air cooled ive just had a 70cc big bore kit raceing cdi and clutch and raceing exhaust could you tell me what i should change the rollers to and if i will need to change the jets in the carb or will it be ok to leave them as they are
you will no doubt need to change both, nobody can tell you what they need changing to, its a case of trial and error.
ok thanks mate ive had a 21mm mos card with open air filter its a bit boggy at first what can i do stop that
if its boggy it could be a case of needing a slighltly larger jet but in my opinion open filters are shite, as far as im aware two strokes need bback pressure (hence big exhaust chamber) and it applys in air filtration,, which is why they come standard with an air box (unless yours was different?) the air inside the airbox doesnt go straight in to the carb, it bounces around off the inner walls building pressure up to force it through faster etc. if you have dry weather an open filter is great, but as soon as it gets a tiny bit damp or dirty you bog like mad.
