if it has the standard exhaust on it and that is connected to it then replace it or remove it and weld the exhaust. if it has a 'sports pipe' then just remove it because its not needed

    yhhhh....
the exhaust has got like 3or 4 pipes cumin from it witch then all go on to rubber pipes witch go into that blak box so i imagine when u derestrict it u dont need that anymore:confused:?

the box is the cat.. its basicly a one way valve that FEEDS the exhaust fresh air to mix with burnt gasses.. this brings the % of hydrocarbons down to the acceptable levels of this day and age (its percentage of hydrocarbons in air not the ammount, 2l engines produce a fuckload more than any tuned engine)

anyway, you need no pipes in or out of the exhaust. anything that has been connecxted to the pipe will no longer be needed so can be unbolted or just ignored..

ye, only when the one way valve is removed.. air flows inwards down there but not out. if the little reed from the cat is removed air comes out so it warms up like mad.. remove and block the pipe feeding it. (exhaust end obviously.. bang a huge bolt in the rubber section linking the lot together)

de-restriced exhaust produced more exhaust gases than it could handle , got to hot and melted maybe
