right i've done nearly all i can do myself to make scoot faster (172,carb,rollers,clutch etc ) so i rang psn who have been brilliant up to now but i asked about them porting my engine and he put me off the idea by saying it'll only get about 20 bhp because i'm limited with the exhausts i can fit ??? would i be better off fitting my a/c in to an ice or typhoon or are these limited too thanks
the reason your bike is limited is because of the subframe the sr uses, it blocks the use of pm55s and pm59s and a few other, less important exhausts. fitting the AC engine into an ice will allow you to use any exhaust, same with a typhoon, only problem with the ice is that theyre VERY hard to get registered (as Martin, a member on here, found out). You are definately not limited to 20bhp because the jolly moto fits the SR and that performs to the same standards as the PM59, it is just longer and lower so hinders you if you wanted to wheelie the bike. you do have a few options, but under no circumstances are you limited to 20bhp, the reason andy@psn said that is because he has lost his sub contracted tuner/porting guy Ryan, and so he is now left on his todd pretty much.
damn swift beat me to it. yeah what he said ^^^^ lool SRs are the ultimate in handling, its worth putting up with the poor exhaust choices.
