when I put my transmission cover back on the front pulley rubs on to the casing metal cover on the inside, and the kick start mech, does'nt release from the one on the variator.

Assuming you've taken your variator apart, double-check you've rebuilt it in the correct order. If you've taken the kickstart mechanism apart again ensure its been reassembled correctly

Grease the half-moon shaft making sure its free of grit and returns when off the bike before refitting.

also.. get the belt to the iner part of the clutch, then lay it over the variator, it wil be loose, THEWN put the front pulley back on, its probably tightening against the belt hence no0t pulling in to where it should be, ride it like that and it will come off/kil the crank

tried pulling the belt really slack ( by pull the conta spring in) but the varator front plate still rubs on the inside casing.

i also tried it with the kick start mechanism off by it still rubbed, and the kick start off the bike works fine.
